What We Do
Six service lines, one local team. Rent or buy, with installation, service, and pickup all from the same people.
Solutions By Room
Most people don't call us asking for a “vertical platform lift” — they call because Mom can't manage the front steps. Start where the problem actually is.
Funding & Coverage
AADL, RAMP, WCB-AB, AHS, PDD, Veterans Affairs, NIHB and most extended insurance plans can cover a large share of what you need. The forms are the reason most families never claim it — so we fill them out for you, free.

Our Story
Western Health Care started with a frustration any Calgary caregiver knows: the hospital bed comes from one company, the stairlift from another, the compression stockings from a pharmacy across town, and the ramp from someone driving in from out of city. Families end up exhausted before the patient even gets home.
We built one local store that covers the whole journey — from the first phone call after a diagnosis to the day we pick up the rental years later. One team. One number. One file that knows your home, your funding, and your situation.

How It Works
Whether you're preparing for a hospital discharge or planning ahead for aging in place, the path is the same.

Tell us what's going on — a parent coming home from hospital, an aging-in-place concern, a sports injury. We listen first.

An accessibility specialist visits your home, measures stairs and doorways, and identifies the real fall risks.

You get a prioritized, written plan within 48 hours — what's essential, what's nice-to-have, and what each piece costs.

Same-week delivery, professional installation by our own Alberta technicians, and full service and support for everything we sell.

What Families Say
Verified Google reviews from Alberta families we've helped through hospital discharge, recovery, and aging-in-place projects.
“I recently got a stair lift installed from Western Health Care for my grandmother, and I'm extremely happy with the service. Navi came for the installation. He was very professional, explained everything clearly, and gave a proper demo of how the lift works. The stair lift has really improved my grandmother's mobility at home. Also, the price was much lower compared to other companies, and the quality of the product is excellent.”

“We have been very pleased with all our interactions with this company. All the staff that we spoke to were informative and receptive to our inquiries. We have rented two separate pieces of equipment and even received a refund without asking for one when a rented chair was returned. The gentlemen who delivered each piece were professional and kind. We highly recommend this company.”

“Mylo G was here at our home on 2 occasions to install grab rails and a bed rail. These were installed to assist my husband as he climbs the stairs and to help when he gets out of bed. We were very happy with Mylo's work and we found him to be very friendly and kind. Thank you.”
